August Calendar, CBC Dance Team, International WCS Rally

Hello everyone!

This week we have 2 important kickoff meetings for our summer events!  Whether you are more interested in West Coast Swing, or being part of our Dance Team... check these out or set up a meeting to learn more!

Who: Everyone who wants to make friends and dance West Coast Swing

What: West Coast Swing International Rally - Learn and Participate in a flashmob danced all over the world

When: Kickoff is Wednesday at 6:15pm (although we are looking to potentially offer 2 days per week)  The classes will continue until Flashmob on September 5th when we will dance at multiple locations around town!

Where: Practices are at The Crystal Ballroom, performances will be around town in September

Why:  To share the love of dance, learn more West Coast Swing, and make friends

Who:  Everyone who considers themselves part of The Crystal Ballroom

What: CBC Dance Team - Dance with a Pro, your partner, or be part of group!

When: Kickoff is Saturday at 6:15pm (you can also set up a meeting with me one-on-one to discover which way of being involved works best for you!  CBC is a 3 Day Ballroom event from August 20th-22nd.

Where: All practices are at The Crystal Ballroom, CBC is at the Renaissance Westerville-Polaris.

Why:  To be part of the team, improve our dancing, share our artistry, make friends, and represent The Crystal Ballroom

Beginner Night at the Ballroom Starts June 17th!

Social Dance 101 - 3 Weeks of introductory classes followed by a beginner dance (featuring Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba and Swing)  If you are still building your confidence in the basics you NEED to come to this series! Build more muscle memory, enjoy spending time with others and get the chance to practice it all!

Independence Day Potluck - Sign up Today!

On the 4th of July join us for home grilled food, patriotic outfits, socializing, and a great time! Sign up today (list on the bulletin board near the snack bar) so we purchase enough hot dogs & hamburgers and know what you'll be bringing!  Remember there is a prize for best dish and a prize for most patriotic outfit! :)

Congrats to Holly on her 2nd Dance Vision Teacher Achievement Certificate.  She studied hard to be able to demonstrate leading and following all of the Bronze Rhythm steps.  Instructors are required to be able to dance both parts as well as explain concepts included in the syllabus, create lesson plans, and understand footwork, amounts of turn, counts etc for each step.  Send her your congratulations as she begins to study for the Silver Smooth Exam next!

Upcoming Events!!!

Waltz I Medal Class starts tonight!

Mondays in June at 6:15pm learn the building blocks of Waltz

Join Spencer as he takes you through the Waltz syllabus.  The Medal classes are a great way to get repetition, basic skills, and steps as you test out of each level and continue through levels II, III, and IV!  (Silver classes will be beginning later this year!)

West Coast Swing International Rally Kickoff Night

This Wednesday - June 10th at 6:15pm

Get information to learn a routine choreographed in Europe and danced all over the world on the first Saturday in September!  (Think flashmob with a bunch of friends!)  This is one of the best ways to get confident with dancing your West Coast Swing!

CBC Dance Team Kickoff Night

This Saturday - June 13th at 6:15pm

Get information to be part of our group going to this 3 day ballroom event!  Compete with an instructor, dance with a friend, show off with a routine, or be part of the club group number!

Summer Out on the Town - Westerville Alum Creek Amphitheatre

Sunday June 21st at 6:30pm

Use your dancing for what it was meant for!  Get out and dance to live music!  Wear a blue shirt (or purchase a Crystal Ballroom Shirt for $15) to represent the ballroom!  This is the 1st of 4 summer outings!  Please RSVP HERE so we can keep in touch about where to meet, etc.

This week join us for group classes all week long, private lessons around your schedule, then Saturday evening's awesome weekly ballroom dance party, preceded by Samba Group Classes (in 2 levels)!
