Build Social & Physical Skills Through Dance

Dancing is a perfect way for kids to be active, improve coordination and endurance, and interact with other kids. Through music and dance, children gain self confidence and are able to express themselves in a safe and positive environment. Dance is also a great way to improve agility, balance, and teamwork for those involved in youth sports! Children are divided into groups by age where they can learn the fundamentals of dance moves and work as a team.

A Safe, All-Inclusive, Positive Learning Environment

Hi! I'm Amy!

My husband David and I founded The Crystal Ballroom Dance Center in 2018 with a mission to create programs where all people, young or old, can connect through dance. We're located in Worthington and offer the opportunity to learn a variety of styles of dance as well as to connect with the music and other people.

The Crystal Ballroom focuses on fostering an all-inclusive, positive learning environment. The Crystal Ballroom teaches a variety of classes from private to group lessons for all skill levels.

At all times the instructor will wear a mask and disinfect hands before dancing with or giving any physical instruction to students.

Upon entering the studio, hands must be disinfected and temperature taken.  If any child has any symptoms, we ask that you stay home.  Let us know immediately if you’ve been exposed to COVID19 and are not able to attend all classes.

Solo Classes - Youth will be required to wear a mask when entering the building, but may take off mask and social distance during class.

Partnered Classes - Parents/Children will choose 1 partner for the semester and both families must agree on masks or no masks for the children.

This semester we are offering not only a Solo Class, but we are also offering a partnered class.  Parents/Children will choose 1 partner for the semester and both families must agree on masks or no masks for the children.  During class children are socially distanced from all others, and the instructor wears a mask and disinfects hands before any physical contact.

1. Within the building masks are required while moving around.  Masks are not required by the state while dancing, however we will be requesting all youth to wear a mask throughout the class.  If parents request their child to not wear masks, the child must remain a minimum of 6 feet from all others.  If there are medical conditions dictating no masks, then they must be socially distanced throughout the class.

3. Parents may stay within the building if there is room to socially distance during class.

4. No partnering this semester.  All parents will be asked for their permission and hands will be washed regularly when partnering is expected to come back.
