Celebrating Community, Growth, and Dance!

Hello everyone!

As a studio we began in 2018.  Within the first month we connected with Georgia and Jim Watson who run Mid-Ohio Boogie Club.  They kindly helped us with building a DJ booth, bringing their dance to our space, and helping us put down a floating floor in the small ballroom, as well as helping us with Embroidery and screen printing for the studio.  With that being said, I'd like to rally you all to come out Wednesday to support Mid-Ohio Boogie Club's Valentine's dance this Wedneday at 7pm! This will be Mid-Ohio Boogie Club's final dance at The Crystal Ballroom, and we are grateful for all of their support and kindness throughout the years!

I'd like to tell you all about the awesome atmosphere that has been growing at The Crystal Ballroom!  We've always offered great private lessons, great parties, and fun group classes.  Last year we decided to add another option for those who want to lock into their learning during group classes.  The Dance Vision Medal classes were created as a resource for our Private Lesson Students to grow their repertoire and build variety in their dances through group classes so that in their private lessons they can focus on the specifics for themselves: Connection, balance, footwork, expression.  When we began this program, I imagines it becoming a staple in our studio and a great way for anyone who wanted to learn to dance to get a great base and begin building muscle memory.  Now that we are going through all 4 levels of Bronze on Mondays it has created so much consistency and community with the group!

Bolero I starts tonight at 6:15pm... join us to become part of this close-knit team, purchase your Medal Class Series Membership ($99 per month for 1 - 4 class series btw, this also includes all of our other group classes and parties so you can practice and stay involved!) then...  Once you learn everything from Bolero I, you get to test out and attend Bolero II in March, Bolero III in April, and Bolero IV in May (or just start another Level I each month!! :) )

You are invited to join us for The Crystal Ballroom's Showcase Kickoff Class & Meeting THIS THURSDAY at 7:45pm!  If you like great music, want to build your confidence in dancing this year, or are ready to achieve your dream of performing, we are calling you to be part of this opportunity, there are multiple ways to be involved, make friends, grow your confidence, and have a blast!

Many of you were asking Saturday night, who's the guy in the white shirt?!  We are excited to welcome Fergie to The Crystal Ballroom Team.  Fergie is trained in Yoga, enjoys hiking, played sports as a kid, is a landscaper, and now as a ballroom dance instructor is someone you can learn to ballroom dance with.  As you get to know Fergie, I think you'll all appreciate his positive vibe and genuine passion for sharing movement, fitness, and dance with you all!  Say hi when you see him in the studio!

Bolero I Medal Class - Starts Monday February 9th at 6:15pm!

Learn from the same syllabus instructors study!

This class is our progressive class through the Medal series.  It includes 4 classes for each level and a PreReq test to qualify for the next level.  If you strive on structure, join our Medal classes!  It's $99 for a singular Medal Class (which also includes the Unlimited Crystal Membership)... only $149 for 2 Medal Classes, and $179 for 3 Medal Classes.

Best Dance Jams Group Class - New Dance this Thursday Feb 12th at 7pm!

Learn a mini-routine to 4 of the best dance jams on the planet!

I am excited to share fun, dance ideas and short choreo with each of you for each of these songs this month!  I know music in the inspiration to dance and many of you enjoy these 4 songs (Uptown Funk, Shut Up & Dance, Levitating, Jump Around) so let's learn how to dance to them!  No experience necessary, we'll all have fun and get grooving together (don't worry, this is still partner dance based!!)!

Express the Rainbow Group Class & Studio Showcase Kickoff Party! - Thursday Feb 12th at 7:45pm.

This complimentary class is a great way to experience dancing to the colors of the rainbow and learn if you want to be part of our community in-studio showcase.  Experience and express the colors of dance from hot red to cool blue and even some cheesy ones.  We are looking forward to the whole studio showing up to this class & kickoff!

This week join us for group classes all week long, private lessons around your schedule and dif you got tickets to Valentine's Day, doors open at 6:15pm on Saturday!  Feel free to wear formalwear or 80s-wear of any type!
