Holiday Events, New Social Swing Class

Hello everyone!

This week has been a busy and wonderful week of outreach to the community and those looking for dance!

Sunday we attended a wedding show with more than 1,500 brides in attendance.  We were offering a chance to come in for a wedding dance consultation.  Every year we have a chance to be a part of many couple's big day by helping build confidence in learning a first dance customized to their song.

Wednesday we attended the OPERS (Ohio Public Employees Retirement System) Wellness expo and shared Ballroom dance as a way to enjoy fitness, Shavon was able to come along and share about here high energy ultra-accepting Fitness classes as well

Friday we were a representative at the OSU Arts Job Fair where we were able to meet OSU students who are interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

Finally, Saturday we joined as a vendor at the Ethos and Co Holiday Vendor Market.  What's better than an exprience for the Holidays!?  We were there representing and offering gift certificates for Experiences.  Many people have enough things, but going out dancing is something they can experience that brings joy to their lives!

I also want to mention that on Saturday I saw how awesome of our community is as the new dancers at our party experienced a warm welcoming and encouragment.  Thank you to all of you who encourage the new dancers and help them feel at home!

As the official home of The Columbus Fury Mopsters we are excited to announce auditions are happening this coming Saturday!  If you are a gentleman (typically 55+ interested in mopping the floor and entertaining the crowd at Nationwide Arena for the 2026 season of Columbus' Professional Volleyball Team, learn more and apply HERE to audition on Saturday! Those who volunteered to pack boxes for the Byron Sounders Foundation, we will be there next Sunday (November 16th)! Donations for Thanksgiving will be closed at that time as we bring the donations with us to the warehouse!  Only 1 more weeks to bring in your donations for the Byron Sounders Foundation! Also, thank you to the 20 volunteers we got to help pack boxes on November 16th from 3-7pm.  We can meet at the studio at 2:15pm to carpool to Groveport, or you can meet us there at 2:45pm.

This week our instructors will be asking you all about joining us for the Candy Cane & Coal Fun Match...  here's what you need to know!  It's only $20 to come be part of the fun and $10 per entry to win fun prizes!  Every dance you want to dance is an entry, plus we have a fun jack & jill, some line dances and costume contest!  Decide whether you want to be edgy in you "COAL" outfit, or jolly in your "CANDY CANE" outfit!  Pick some dance partners and sign up today!   You win fun prizes for every entry and have a fun night of dancing and celebration!  Talk with me, Spencer, Holly, Jocelyn and Barclay!  We're all trying to fill our dance cards before December!

We are hosting a Formal Holiday Dinner Dance on December 13th in conjunction with Buckeye Bop Club!!!  Our instructors will be there to host, and we'll have a great crowd, this will be a fun dress up event with dinner included and dancing to DJ Jerry Bean spinning the tunes!  Don't miss this chance to dress up and dance the night away on Saturday December 13th!  RSVP Required (only 45 spots still available!) Tickets are only $45 for our members and $60 for Nonmembers.

As we are getting close to the Holidays, remember Gift Certificates can be purchased in any amount by your family and friends, don't forget to ask for more dancing for Christmas.  Although we are not strictly doing BLACK FRIDAY Specials this year, look out for our Small Business Sale starting the week of Thanksgiving!
