May Calendar, Refer a Former Athlete/Veteran

Hello everyone!

Thanks to those that made it out Saturday for our dance party!  It was a fun birthday celebration for a few people and turned out to be a great crowd plus CAKE! :)

One of our wonderful wedding couples who chose to take lessons to prepare their first dance with us performed their dance as a spotlight on Saturday.  Hannah and Andrew we are looking forward to seeing pictures/video of your wedding dance!  Congrats on a fantastic rehearsal!  If you know anyone getting married, we would love a chance to share dancing with them in preparation for their big day.  Feel free to refer them.  A typical wedding dance will take 10 lessons to get comfortable, and lessons beginning 4-6 months before the wedding give everyone time to get moving and an extra date night together without adding any stress to the wedding preparation.

We have a new opportunity beginning for those who are interested in starting a career as a dance instructor.  It is an intense 100 hour - 1 month course to prepare potential dance instructors from 0 knowledge of ballroom to the ability to start in the industry.  If you know anyone looking for an active career in the arts where they can be physically, mentally and creatively challenged, let them know about this opportunity!  People that typically succeed in the ballroom industry are veterans, former athletes, dancers, or musicians.  If you know anyone getting ready to wrap up their college athletic career who would rather stay moving than find a desk job, this is the perfect opportunity for them!  We will be organizing the first Crystal Ballroom Teacher Training Class to begin in May. If you know someone who is interested, physically able to dance 25-40 hours per week and looking for a career opportunity that involves being around, coaching, and teaching people, please send them THIS LINK!!!!

If you love being part of the fun, the excitement, and activity of the ballroom, sign up now to meet and discuss our upcoming formations, Amateur Ballroom Competition Team, and ProAm Competition Team!  Individual meeting will be held to discuss the details and set up a customized plan!  If you want to see huge differences in your dancing, be part of team, and have a solid goal, this is a great way to experience the stairway to success.  Our next competition is CBC Dancesport in August.  This competition is hosted in Polaris just about 10 minutes from the studio and includes ballroom dancers from all over the country.  There is a fun Club Night on Thursday (we'll be putting together a Viennese Waltz Formation to Metallica - get ready to dress in leather and show off as a group), then competition all day Friday and Saturday!  

Don't miss our Wonderful Ballroom Dance Party this Saturday preceded with a Tango Group Class at 7pm and then Open Dancing from 8-10pm!
