New Intro to Social Dance Class, Ballroom Instructor Training Course, June Calendar

Hello everyone!

There are benefits to dancing for each of us, whether it's the community and friendship, or the fitness and movement, the expression and creativity, or the confidence and self-worth it instills in us!

Wouldn't it be nice to share these benefits with those around you?  There are currently 3 great ways to introduce your friends to The Crystal Ballroom!

#1. Every other Saturday we offer an Intro to Ballroom Group Class from 2:30pm-3:15pm.  This is a fantastic, free class for those new to the ballroom.  Get all your questions answered and experience a brief group class!

#2. Also you can login to your Momence Account (either the Momence App or https://momence.com/sign-in) then refer friends.  They get $25 OFF their first visit (so, Intro lesson for $14, or Single Class Pass for $25) or an entire Saturday Evening for FREE!    Plus if they do choose to become part of our community and spend more than $50, you also get a $25 Credit towards whatever you'd like in the studio!

#3. Lastly, we will be offering a 4 week Intro to Social Dance Series starting May 20th! Wednesday evenings at 7pm for 4 weeks we'll go over the basics to a variety of dances and experience a social dancing starter class!!  Don't keep the benefits to yourself anymore, share with your friends, family, and neighbors!!

I added the flyer last week for our upcoming Ballroom Instructor Training Program. This is an epic undertaking that I am getting really excited about.

Last year we planned to offer this program, however the 5 hours/day committment was too much for most people.  This year I am excited to say it will be a 3 hour/day commitment (plus homework if you want to excel and pass the certification by the end) anyone who would like to get a full understanding of what it takes to succeed as a ballroom instructor will want to sign up immediately!

The goal of this June offering is to train up instructors from no experience necessary to being able to start in this industry with clear understanding of what is expected, leading and following the dances, how to teach, and how to keep students while continuing their own education.

The Well-Rounded 20 Day Course includes:

1 Day Orientation

7 Days of Dance Training in the Core 6 Dances: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing... so all instructors will be able to lead and follow Bronze I & II Dance Vision Syllabus

5 Days of Instructor Training: preparing teachers for real life instruction with practice exercises

5 Days of Communication & Sales Training: practice communication, goal setting, handling objections before they happen, and sales

2 Days of Certification Prep

Those who want to instruct will leave this course with the tools to do their best and the opportunity to hit the ground running.

Dance Mechanics: Group Class with Spencer

7pm Wednesday!  This class will appeal especially to those who are mechanically minded or enjoy drills to improve their dancing!

Spencer developed this class idea with the understanding that everyone learns differently and the mechanics of dance will help your brain to understand as your body learns! Both brand new dancers and those with more technique and experience will enjoy this class!

Fergalicious: Group Class with Fergie

7:45pm Thursday! New Class starts this week!!!

If you like to have fun and want to continue to build confidence in your dancing, COME TO THIS CLASS!! Fergie will be incorporating all of his skills into 1 class, yoga, acting, dancing, smiling... don't miss the fun!

West Coast Swing Night

7pm Friday... with Eric Byers and Toni Carroll!!

We've got two of your favorite people this month!  Eric Byers will be here from Indianapolis to teach and dance the night away, then Columbus' very own Toni Carroll will be spinning the tunes and keeping you grooving until 10:30pm!

Medal Classes for May!!

New Class Viennese Waltz I, We'll be continuing with Mambo II and Bolero IV!! (check the calendar for dates)

It's awesome to see how many of you are getting comfortable with a variety of steps from the repetition and consistency of these classes.  If you haven't learned Viennese yet, now is the time to start!

This week join us for group classes all week long, private lessons around your schedule, Friday's West Coast Swing Night, then Saturday evening's awesome weekly ballroom dance party, preceded by Mambo Group Classes (in 2 levels)!
