Sept Calendar, Cha Cha Medal Class Begins!!

Hello everyone!

I've had the pleasure lately of meeting with many of you for Goal Setting Meetings where we look at your dance goals, benefits, and opportunities in the studio to create a plan going forward with your lessons.  It has been very inspiring seeing how much dance means to each of you and getting to share upcoming events and opportunities!

Here are a few of the opportunities we talked about...

1. Watching and Supporting at CBC DanceSport

Those of you who have ever wondered what it is like to watch a ballroom competition, shop some great ballroom vendors, be part of a team, and root for your friends will love the opportunity to come out and watch the CBC DanceSport Competition in Polaris next Thursday-Saturday (August 14th-16th at Renaissance Columbus - Westerville - Polaris 409 Altair Parkway, Westerville, OH 43082)

Tickets for spectators are available at the door for $30-$60

Thursday evening is Club night with a dress as your favorite musical artist theme!  The Crystal Ballroom is doing  a Viennese Waltz Formation to a Metallica song, so join us by wearing black with silver studs and leather! :)

Friday morning starting at 7am are the Rhythm heats (Cha Cha, Rumba, EC Swing, Bolero, Mambo)

Friday Evening are the top students and Rising Star Professionals

Saturday morning starting at 7am are the Smooth heats (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz)

Saturday evening are the top students and top Professionals plus Awards

2. December 6th Showcase Casting SOON!

There are 3 Fun Ways to be involved in a Showcase

#1. Dance Heats - put on a cute dress and dance with your instructor (or partner)  to show off the dances you have been working on and get fantastic written feedback!

#2. Join a Group Formation - These formations are a great way to get to know a few people as you take weekly dance classes together and then perform a fun routine at the end, if you have ideas for a particular dance or song, let me know!!

#3. Be the Star in your own SOLO - Solo means  you get your "Dancing with the Stars" experience.  Pick the song or the dance and let your instructor create a routine for you to show off your skills and push you to learn a few new ones!  The themes are always fun and this can be a great way to relive a great moment or cherish an important moment in your life!

It's your last week to help us raise money for a great cause.  Byron Saunders Foundation has a goal to provide food for 6,000 families in central Ohio this Thanksgiving, "vote" by donating any amount!  $20 will cover the turkey gift card given to each family, $35 supplies an entire meal to a family! Make a difference this Holiday season by Voting HERE!!

Dinosaurs?

 and Tango?

We are going to start a FUN class on Thursdays on August 21st (after CBC Dancesport Competition)  It is called the "Triceritops Tango"  Imagine a fun dinosaur theme throughout the class as you enjoy fun exercises in Tango!  Don't worry, this is still a class for adults BUT you get to let out your silly wild side and maybe learn something about dinosaurs you didn't know before! :)

This Saturday don't miss our Wonderful Saturday Night Party preceded by Waltz group classes for two levels!
