Social Dance 101:Rhythm begins this Wednesday!!

Hello everyone!

Last Friday we partnered with Carlos Rubio (Salsamante Dance Academy) with planning by Veronica Grace Events and threw a huge Latin Party for Carlos' Birthday.  We hosted 155 Salsa/Bachata Enthusiasts including performances by Spring City Salsa, Columbus Latin Dance Academy, and Dayton 1 PLUS DJ Timburon keeping everyone moving until 2am!  The success of this event guarantees even more Latin Dance collaborations with Carlos & Veronica!   (BTW, that's what we do every Monday with the classes, and Wednesday Night Social if you're looking for a great place to get your Salsa and Bachata on weekly!!)

My favorite event of the year is coming up!  On December 6th (starting at 2pm) will be our Candy Cane and Coal: Fun Match & Showcase!  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to sign up for dances and receive a prize!!  Set up a meeting today to get involved and learn how you can enjoy the event!  Think of this as the Dave & Busters of Ballroom, prizes for every entry, fun for all, and even an opportunity to learn a Solo Dance and perform!  We (of course) have our favorite photographer Tom Wehrung coming to capture the afternoon and look forward to sharing this event with the Columbus Dance Community!  Sign up now (formations begin the week of October 5th!)

THIS WEEK 3 new classes begin...

Wednesday 7:00pm - Social Dance 101: Rhythm

~ If you are new to ballroom, or want to review the basics, join Social Dance 101!  This class is a 4 week series for only $40 per person.  No dance experience necessary, you'll learn Cha Cha, Rumba, and Swing, then on the 4th week we'll do a social dance so you get a chance to practice what it's like to dance these dances socially!!

Thursdays 6:15pm - Rumba II - Medal Class

~If you passed out of Rumba I, we invite you to join us for Rumba II!!  Continue growing in your step knowledge and confidence!

Thursdays 7:00pm - Cha Cha IV - Medal Class

~This is the last level of Bronze Cha Cha before we begin a series on Silver Cha Cha!  Ask how to catch up and get qualified, or if you've already passed out of Cha Cha III, we'll see you at Cha Cha IV!!

NEXT WEEK don't miss...

Thursday Oct 8th 7:45pm - WCS Community Class

~This is an all levels community building class with the goal of giving instruction, guidance, and time to practice with each other beginning on Thursday October 8th!  $20 Drop-In or ask about our Memberships! :)

Friday Oct 9th 7pm - Cruise Interest Meeting!

~We are getting the details together to take a studio trip on Cunard's Queen Mary II out of England.  There are already 10 people interested in going and we'd love to include you if you want to travel & dance next September with The Crystal Ballroom!

This week join us for group classes all week long, private lessons around your schedule!  This Friday is our West Coast Swing Party with guest instructor Brad Wendt and DJ Toni Carroll,

then join us Saturday for two levels of Cha Cha Classes (Continuing Cha Cha Class is learning a routine featuring cross-over break, 3 step underarm turn, and swivels!) before our Wonderful Saturday Night Ballroom Party!!!

Let's all connect through dance at The Crystal Ballroom Dance Center!‍
