Hello everyone!

Do you know Waltz? How about Foxtrot? Are you confident in Tango and Cha Cha? Is Rumba easy for you? Is Swing second nature?

If the answer to any of these questions is "No," then we've got the perfect class for you!  If you can walk, you can dance!!

Social Dance 101 is a 4-week series where you'll learn the Core 6 Ballroom Dances: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Swing. Each week you'll learn and review two dances, building the confidence you need to enjoy a social dance.

Then on July 8th, we'll put it all together with a 1.5-hour Beginner's Dance Party! We'll play only those six dances, giving you a chance to practice what you've learned and experience what social dancing is all about.

When you go out to a dance party, are you confident in the timing and movement of Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, and Swing? If not, Social Dance 101 is the perfect place to start.

The Social Dance 101 Series begins this Wednesday at 7:00pm and runs through July 8th.

No partner? No experience? No problem. We'll help you feel comfortable on the dance floor.

Here are the details for the International West Coast Swing Rally!

This West Coast Swing Flash Mob is performed all over the world on the first Saturday in September each year. If you'd like to be part of it, please let me know so I can keep you in the loop with the Columbus schedule and performance opportunities.

The Crystal Ballroom offers classes each year to help everyone learn the routine and prepare for the performances. This year, you have two practice options:

• Wednesdays at 6:15pm starting July 8th
• Thursdays at 6:15pm starting July 9th (5:30 pm on 2 days)

(Or attend both for extra practice!)

If you're learning the routine on your own and would just like to join us for practice from time to time, that's an option too.

Independence Day Potluck - Sign up Today!

On the 4th of July join us for home grilled food, patriotic outfits, socializing, and a great time! Sign up today (list on the bulletin board near the snack bar) so we purchase enough hot dogs & hamburgers and know what you'll be bringing!  Remember there is a prize for best dish and a prize for most patriotic outfit! :)

Next Sunday is our first Out on the Town Dance of the Year!

Why did you learn to dance in the first place? Wasn't it to feel comfortable and confident dancing to live music when you stumble across it?

Well, now that you know how to dance, let's have some fun and go out on the town! Throughout the summer, we'll be showing up in numbers to enjoy great music, beautiful weather, and plenty of dancing.

Please wear blue to represent The Crystal Ballroom (t-shirts available) and wear your outdoor dance shoes (the studio carries both Fuego and Very Fine indoor/outdoor dance shoes if you need a pair).

Mondays at 7:45 join Fergie to gain mobility through stretching!

Fergie has been moving his whole life from being an athlete to theatre, to landscaping, hiking, yoga and dance.  He has learned many skills to keep his body mobile and wants to share those skills with all of us!

Summer Out on the Town - Westerville Alum Creek Amphitheatre

Use your dancing for what it was meant for!  Get out and dance to live music!  Wear a blue shirt (or purchase a Crystal Ballroom Shirt for $15) to represent the ballroom!  This is the 1st of 4 summer outings!  Please RSVP HERE so we can keep in touch about where to meet, etc.

This week join us for group classes all week long, private lessons around your schedule, VIP Party for our Private Lesson Students Friday, then Saturday evening's awesome weekly ballroom dance party, preceded by Foxtrot Group Classes (in 2 levels)!
