WCS Weekend (fun with friends classes) starting Sept 17th

Hello everyone!

Happy Labor Day, enjoy a break today.  We'll be back to regularly scheduled programming tomorrow! (btw, there will still be Manic Mondays with Salsamante Dance Academy and Country Swing with Rhythm & Roots if you need your dance fix!)

Let me share an experience with you all! I am an extreme extrovert, meaning that I can be around people almost ALL the time and not get sick of you all! :) With that being said, when I've gone to West Coast Swing events in the past I've had an extreme case of the "I don't belongs" and the "no one wants to dance with me's" I know, I know, sounds crazy since I've been a dancer for 25 years and have tons of experience.

I've narrowed down my experience to 1 thing, I am not prepared to jump in meeting new people and being lost in a sea of established friendships. If you've ever felt out of place, or scared to attend a West Coast Swing event, this is your call to give it another try! I am organizing our outing to Groovetopia near the Cincinnatti Airport in November with you in mind! (Learn more about Groovetopia HERE)

This is a social WCS Weekend (think Jammin' in July but limited to the first 100 leads and 100 follows to sign up!)

The goal will be to go as a group, spend time together, eat together, and even better, get to know each other in advance so it's not a whole new place with all new people! For the next 8 Thursdays starting on September 17th at 8:30pm we'll get together to learn and dance West Coast Swing, then as a group we'll all carpool down to Cincinnatti on November 7th and enjoy 2 full days of West Coast Swing!

Intensives (meaning classes) with one of the best dancers in the business (Benji Schwimmer) and over 12 hours of dancing available. I'll be there as your guide, host, and dance partner and you'll also have each other! Who wants to have a whole new WCS experience with The Crystal Ballroom?

In the last week I've had a few people approach me about the Poseidon Ball next September.  From England to Portugal to Spain on a cruise ship with your dance fam!!  This is a ballroom competition at sea and includes plenty of opportunities to social dance and even learn while traveling!  Let me know if you want to be on the list of those to learn details as we continue planning!  

Our next opportunity to be part of a fun local event is coming up in December!  Join a Formation, Demonstrate your progress in heats or dance your very own Solo routine (with an instructor)!  Keep an eye out for kickoff events coming soon!
